Every page on this site is written from the underlying definitions and formulas rather than assembled from other conversion websites, and every numeric claim is generated by the same tested code that powers the converter.

How pages are written

Content is written from primary definitions, not from competitor pages. The starting point for any explanation is the exact constant and the arithmetic that follows from it, which is why the same figures appear consistently across the site.

Two rules shape the writing. Each section opens with the direct answer and explains afterwards, so a reader who needs only the number can stop at the first sentence. And each section restates the figures it depends on rather than referring back to an earlier part of the page, so a section still makes sense read on its own.

How the numbers are verified

Numeric claims in the body text are produced by the same code that runs the converter, not typed by hand. Conversion tables and worked examples are generated from the tested functions and pasted into the page as static HTML, which means the prose and the tool can never drift apart.

The conversion functions themselves are covered by an automated test suite that checks them against independently known values and against edge cases such as empty input, negative numbers and non-numeric text. That suite is public and runs in your browser at /test.html. The constants and formulas are set out in full on the methodology page.

Review schedule

Pages carry a visible last reviewed date. Because the conversion factors are fixed by international agreement and do not change, reviews focus on clarity, broken links and accuracy of the surrounding explanation rather than on the arithmetic. Any page is reviewed and re-dated whenever it is edited, and the full site is checked at least once a year.

Corrections

Errors are corrected rather than quietly removed. If a figure or an explanation on this site is wrong, email contact@gramstolbs.com with the page and the problem. Corrections to a number are made as soon as they are confirmed against the primary sources, and the page's reviewed date is updated.

Advertising and independence

This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. Advertising has no influence on the content: there are no sponsored conversions, no paid placements in the guides and no affiliate links in the explanatory text.
